I think I'm gonna go ahead and start working with the MR2, because it is closer to the stock front rotor size. I should have everyhing mounted up by this weekend, or at least thats what I'm shooting for. I'll shoot some pictures of the progress as I can get them.
Yeah but its been done already with the rear rotor and caliper from a 88 Corolla GTS and i told you when you IMed that they had to be machined. It could take forever to find existing parts that fit, or a week to get something and mod it and then just have it made. I dont care if you get the "kit" made. I'm making my own later on and then producing it.

I just wanted to say: It is AWESOME to see somebody else who has a scion to be doing actual fab work. If I wanted to upgrade the brakes, those mounts look sweet.

OK, just an upadate. The new rotor has been modded and mounted, caliper is mounted, and now I'm working on the E-brake cable mount. Sorry for the delay, been working on a couple things for the tC guys. This finished fuel rail is one of them.

Don't want to get of topic just wanted to show you what else I've been working on. Intake manifold is in the works too. Thanks for being patient with me, should have some pictures to post soon of the disk conversion!

that looks good, but why a solid rotor?? I know you have been having trouble with the caliper and e-brake cable, but why does the caliper only cover 50% of the disc?? I mean you could (potentially) brake better if you had a caliper that covered the whole disc right?

That is a matched caliper and rotor. That caliper and rotor are from the rear of an 89 Toyota MR2. It just looks that way, plus there are no pads installed. As far as the solid rotor, thats all they have available, but with me working at a machine shop I plan on machining some up, drilled and slotted to match the vented front rotors that are available. Or sell them solid as the one in the picture, to match the stock rotors.

Your exactly right. The bracket I have on there now is just 1/4" or 6.36mm, I plan on making the actual bracket 3/8" or 9.53. Don't think I would want a 1/4" for a brake bracket, just don't think it would be enough support for hard braking.

Mount Juliet, TN., it's about 20 miles east of Nashville. Just an update on the conversion. I had to have elbow surgery Friday, and am on kinda bed rest for a couple weeks. It wasn't the best time to have it done, but had too. I have three different projects going right now and all of them came to a sudden hault!! Sorry, but the day they release me, I'll be back on it!
