biggest I ever had on my xB is 15x9 schmidt modern lines from my friends VW. he let me drive around the parking lot with them and that was it. i was rubbing bad and i even have my fenders pretty well rolled.

Well, I have airride so i figure that will help compensate and I can get it to sit where I want. I think Ill take some measurements on the next sunny day and maybe order a pair of 15x10's to test fit.

15x9...what offsets?

ah I see. a friend of his misinformed me then i think. ridiculous sizes nonetheless.

the 15x9s i had on were 25 i think for offset. they had some poke to them around the fenders.

Our stock wheels have 5.25" backspacing so if you stretch tires and put a 10" wide wheel in the back you should be ok with 5.5" backspacing.
no way..... you will have to do some work to get the 10J under the rear. if it was as easy as an offset change, many others would have 10J wheels.....
It was just some guessing. I am still pretty sure 10" wide wheels would fit under there.

Just a few more days and I should have my wheels, look for pics.

I remembner readin somewhere that the problem is the inner side of the wheel rubbing against something in the inside of the wheel well.

Can't wait to see those steelies on your box....withthe wide lip, they will look awesome!

Damn UPS. I want my wheels.

The longer I wait the more I think of painting the wheels different colors. Look for photoshops of different color schemes once I get the wheels and get some pics.

I'm go with saying that Wheels of Steel's customer service is not great. It's not bad either, but I was told that the wheel faces would be in last Monday and the guy I talked to today was telling me that was impossible because they are backordered. It will be 7-10 business days before they see their parts and then they need to ship the wheels to me.

Lame

So what colors are you thinking of? I think my BCP xA will look best with all black wheels. Then I'd black out other stuff like badges, side markers, heads & tails. (I like the stealth look)

But I see some BCP Scions that look good with bronze wheels. I think some bronze colors might clash with the BCP, but you'd never know for sure until you had them on the car.

I was thinking about painting the wheels Rally Wheel Silver. Another option was painting the lip silver and the face BCP, then putting a mini-moon hubcap over the lugnuts.

Just a couple ideas I'm playing with.

Instead of just doing the lip silver, put stainless or chrome trim rings. Does the website list rings and hubcaps that fit that wheel?

There is no way trim rings would work with the wheels I ordered, the lips are gonna be over 3" deep.

Yeah, with a lip that big, chrome would be too much. Will you spray it yourself? I'm not sure you could get just the lip powdercoated. Plus if you do it yourself, you can touch it up after the wheels are mounted. Make sure you sand the lip nice and smooth before it's painted. Painting is 90% preparation.
