Default unsure about my tire

ok so i have neo nittogen tires and the other week i got a nail in one and had it plugged. well today i was shining my tires and realized that now that tire is on inside out.. meaning all of the other tires say outside on the sidewall and this one now says inside. is this a problem? i do not have much knowledge with tires but i mean its kinda obvious that it isnt supposed to be like that. does anyone know if this is bad and needs to be fixed ASAP or is it something i just need to have fixed when i get around to it?

You should get it fixed. Those tires are directional, meaning the tread was designed to only go one way. One of your tires is technically going backwards.

Why was the tire removed for plugging? If they did that the other week, take it back there and make them fix it. Otherwise, just hit up a wheel shop and pay the 10 bucks to get it flipped.

It is more about cornering since the tires rotate in different directions on opposite sides of the car. Cornering puts different stress on the inner and outer tread - the tire has a non-symetrical tread pattern right?

yeah, if you have directional tires on backwards, it can make things really interesting when you drive in the rain...

and the tire wear is probably gonna be a lot worse on that tire if you dont get it fixed soon...def take it back to the shop, they should have caught that in the beginning...

i also want to know why they pulled the tire off the rim to plug it, ive never had to even jack up my car or take the rim off the car to plug it.

I'ts usually better to patch the tire from the inside. The technician must have mounted it on backwards. The shop should just apologise for screwing and flip it over.

Neo Gen is an asymetrical tire and would probably just handle poorly mounted inside out

Not quite, tires with arrows on the side are directional. Ones that say inside/outside can rotate in either direction as long as the outside is outside. It can still go any place on the vehicle. I just learned this with my new Falken 912s.
