Apparently there's a butt load of Chinese folk down in Jamaica, and it's not unusual to see a lot part-chinese...

LOL! Road trip to Jamacia. You'd probably have to get your xB going pretty fast to have it skip along the top of the Carribean!

why not, eurolines and those ame wheels are jus knockoffs of the benz brabus wheels, or whoever makes mbz wheels. i think it will look good.

Dude bro you have seen flip until youve been to DC man. I lived there for about 6 months and have some family there too. You cant drive down one block without seeing another flip. SERIOUSLY! There are flip restaurants every where too! Its GRRRREAT!

Tapsilog, anyone? hahaha

Don't you think "knockoff" is a little harsh? They are not exact, low-quality replicas. It's not like they're Rotas or something. Most designs by Brabus, AMG, Lorinser, MAE, Carlsson, etc. were designed specifically for MB, sometimes even for specific models thus limiting their applications. There's no disputing Work, SSR, Wald, AME, etc. were influeneced by those styles, but they have differentiated them enough to fit other non-euro/tuner markets. In my opinon, they look even better as well as come in many more color/fit/finish/offset/width options. Additionally, they have matched or even exceeded the quality standards. Debate aside, simply try comparing a Euroline and a Lorinser side-by-side, and that should end any talk of knockoff.

With that said, a lot of MB wheels (or any nice OEM luxury wheel) can be had for cheap, and I think it would be interesting to see a conversion or adapter setup - with the right offset of course. Might not be VIP, but it has the potential to look pretty cool...

DC is South of San Francisco (hence the fog - like everyday). Vallejo across the bay gets an honorable mention...haha

Although I have not compared a set of Lorinser wheels next to a set of Work wheels, the design is in fact a copy. I don't care how you word it — copy, influence, replica, whatever. I'm by no means saying Work wheels are crap (and I don't think Rotas are crap either, BTW), but they are "replicas" of the Euro wheels.

Check out www.tunershop.com or www.memoryfab.com and take a look at some of the European wheels, such as BBS, Keskin, etc. and you'll notice some of them have been replicated by Japanese companies such as Work, NKB, etc.

I'm not knockin' 'em, I'm mearly stating the fact that many VIP-style designs were indeed influenced by European wheels.

VIPstyle is EUROstyle. Thats the main influence of VIPstyle. All the Japanese did was take EUROstyle and took it to a higher level of quality and such.

Everyone is a replica of a replica. hahahha!

btw- Yes Vallejo does come in second.

just playin!

I understand you're not knocking it. Like I said, there's no disputing the "influence," heck, they're even called EUROline I do agree some brands are quite close, but my point was that they are far from replica, i.e. replication, carbon copy, facsimile, clone, rota, knockoff, etc. How does a "remix" sound to you? or refinement, progression, or possibly improvement?

All I remember from Pacifica is the 30 minutes a day the sun can be seen. That and the Taco Bell that is in the middle of the beach.

yeah i guess knockoff is pretty harsh since the wheels do cost an arm and a leg to get, unless you a baller or mark. lol
