Default AfterMarket Fog Lights.. OEM Fog Questions

Im looking to install some aftermarket fogs that fit almost perfect in the lower
grill removal spots(right and left sides where you attach the tow bolt). my questions are.. Do the OEM Fogs for the XB plug in to
the pigtail coming off the headlight? Is there another pigtail in the cab that
you plug the OEM fog light switch to??? is there even a switch on the OEM fogs
or do they just come on when you turn on your lights?
thanks in advance i will post pics and part number for the Fogs from NAPA if
any one is interested..

There's a harness behind the popouts, and another harness inside for the switch. All yu do is connect those and put in your relay.

There is a switch, the fogs only come on when your low beams are on.

im looking to use the wiring for the OEM fogs in the car to run the aftermarket
fogs. so im wondering if i can just splice the oem fog to accept the A/M fogs.
but you say that OEM fogs come on only when you have the parking lights on?
i was hoping to run the Fogs independently ie. on a toggle switch.
has any one figured out how to bypass the OEM fog lights to run independently?

i know why dont i just run the wires!!! well im trying to keep it clean, tired if punching holes in the firewall wiring boots.

Howdy. Here is a site that another member created for adding JDM fogs, and he spliced the power from the lighter so he can run the fogs independently. He posted the link in a thread in the "Interior" forum.

Enjoy!

^^ Yeah, the switch, fogs and relay all come with the OEM setup. Hopefully you can at least use the info he has about where to draw the power from. Good luck!
