1st Gen.xb by the way. kinda worried it might get wet if i place in between the engine bay and fender but it has good clearance to sit, just concerned of it getting wet when it rains or car wash etc.

you can barely see it, but look over by the strut tower and youll kind of see my ballast, the other is on the opposite side, they have been there since 2007 and still running original ballasts

nope, run them just as they are. you know most ballasts are water proof right, i could submerge both my ballast and bulb and they would still work. i wouldn't do it but it would work.

yours will be good there. not a lot of moisture gets that high and its a good mounting point.

i have my ballasts for my fogs mounted to the crash bar behind my bumper and i know those get wet on a regular basis and they are still running strong.

Mine are also mounted where "daneisthegreatest"'s are... I live in rainy Washington state (Seattle area), and mine have been fine. They've been there for about a year now with no issues whatsoever. Keep in mind too, I am using one of the cheapest HID kits off ebay. Haha... still no problems at all. Just my .02

My ballast's for my headlights are located in the same locations as Dane's.

i just left mine ziptied on one side and my ballast are just squeezed onto the little parts of my engine bay.. like my passenger side is just squeezed on the relay box and my driver side is squeezed on the relay and away from the battery and my wiring is hidden

just all you know im not done with my wire tuck cuz my exgf got me the 12k bulbs and i kinda wanna trade with my 12k's to like something between 5-8k's bi-xenon or not..
