Finding new actual Sonar headlights with a clear relector is going to be pretty tough. I got my pair back in august and I'm pretty sure it was the last batch available.

I haven't put them on yet... to many other mods and social activities!

Uh, so get em.

I'm just saying that the quality of the optics are supposedly better on the Sonars.

It's your car, buy what you want for it.

I have the Eagle Eyes Projector headlights for my 2007 tC. The worked great for about 2 weks before lights started fading out. 3 of the 6 leds on the top went, and when I got up this morning the halo rings around the headlights were not working. I did go on a long trip for 2 and a half hours, but I would be amazed if that could cause them to burn out. I'm trying to see if there is a way to fix this. They look great when they are working.

I did buy those SONARS that appear not to have the amber reflector.

I will let you know what I get. W or W/O

Ebay just sent me a 10 percent off coupon so I saw that as a sign to grab them.

Thanks for all the advice.

You made the right decision... the Sonars are definitely the best widely available projectors out there.

Do you think the light bulbs come with them?

The seller put another SONAR up.

Funny you should bring that up, I've got a pair of Sonar's I'd be willing to part with. I had the inside painted classic silver metallic to match my upper and had eyelids painted on the outer lens but with EZ-Baked's poly eyelids I went back to stock. The passenger side would need to be resealed as it fogs.
I might be willing to trade for what your looking for......

Alot of the sellers on ebay aren't even mentioning that some of their headlights are SONAR.

It is hard to tell sometimes.

This pic shows amber reflector.

The Sonar lights should all come with a high beam bulb, low beam bulb, and halo LED bulbs. The only one you will need to supply is the turn signal bulb, which you can swap from the stock headlights since it's the same one, or buy a new set, the ones with the blue bulb look great and are still DOT since the light is amber.

BTW: There was a recall on both the Anzo and Sonar healdights with the clear side markers. They are not DOT approved even though they say they are and are now only sold with amber reflectors.
I have a set of the anzos no amber....

I did get the SONARS today and they DO NOT have amber reflectors.

The seller pic is accurate.

I guess that is cool with me. They are real nice quality.

I hope I pass inspection in 2009.

I like those mirror amber bulbs but that would be the thing that catches the inspectors eye. He might not notice the lack of amber reflectors.

The SONARS did come with the other bulbs. Quite a deal considering they are already clear cornered.

Should I silicone them? I did my JDM fogs and never any fogging at all.

Wow, and I wasn't even trying.

I think it's a good thing.

You shouldn't need to. Mine never fogged until I took them apart to paint the inside. If you add a strobe or anything, just make sure to seal the hole for it well.
