anyone have an xb vented hood
no its functional it send direct air to the intake manifold and cools down the engine because air is being forced through the scoop all scoops r like that, if they werent it would just have a scoop and then underneath it would be solid, i mean there wouldnt be a place for the air to go, know what i mean

You would be correct. It first started out on a black and purple custom years ago. Jeff ( aka LIP ) bought it from the guy who made it and installed it on his xb. Jeff just sold that xB last week. He sold that front end to another xB owner last year in Philly. That owner ( Kevin ) sold his box for a Tundra, so i bought it off him for half what he paid Jeff for it. Now Dave has it ( dgHotLava ) on his ride, along with a lip kit i sold him.
Related question. Do any of the vented hoods really improve the xB's aerodynamics? I'd like to find something that vented the engine compartment (a relatively big source of drag) and worked. Anybody done any experimentation?
I can tell you personally that the Celcia hood that my GF now has really has no bearing on the engine bay at all. I think cause the front end is so flat that any air or water that she has roll up the top of the hood is caught up in the draft and doesnt actually go inside the scoop.
