Thought maybe I would break it down for ya.
Total dissassembly of all doors (5), nose, bumpers, and all loose engine compartment components (I did not break open any under hood fluidic systems, tho I could have done a slightly nicer job in there if I had), and reassembly of same equals roughly 20 hours= $1,000.
Sanding sealing and painting engine compartment, under hood , and fender edges about 6 hours= $300.
Sanding, sealing and silver base/coating all 5 door jambs and the body jambs for all 5 openings roughly 8 hours=$400.
Remounting doors and nose and panel alignment 3 hours =$150
Wet sanding exterior #320 and then #600 grits 5 hours $250.
Making brackets for and mounting all bumper and fascia parts offset from original locations slightly for painting. 3 hours=$150.
Prepping car for paint in the booth, jacking and removal of wheels, complete wrapping of underside and engine compartment in plastics to prevent overspray damage, washing, and masking. 4 hours= $200.
Initial exterior color coats and clear coats. 8 hours= $800.
Removal of mounted doors, fenders and hood for color coating on inside surfaces. Color coating of all inside door and jambs areas including associated masking and sanding, about 6 hours= $300.
Sanding of all exterior surfaces to flatten the initial clearcoats about 8 hours= $400.
Masking and final clear coating of the entire body and all jamb areas about 6 hours= $300.
Wet sanding and buffing all exterior panel surfaces prior to final assembly about 20-30 hours= $1000-1500.
Materials used at least $1500 (for 2 color candy 3 stage. A bit less for base/clear 2 stage paints).
TOTAL $6750+

Bada$$ final product.... Priceless!
Heck, the pagan gold would have been sweet by it's self but the fade takes it to another level for sure. Be prepared for some major awards Ted.

I actually wanted the gold to arry a bit lower and less orange, HOWEVER, when you paint this type of scheme you are somewhat at the marcy of what happens in the booth. I started the darker color (orange) lower than I wanted it on purpose in order to work up to the level I saw as ideal. As the spraying progressed in order to get an even look across the car the orange kept getting a bit higher and a bit higher till what you see is the result. Once the orange candy gets to an area there is no way to cover or remove it without starting over from base coat silver. Such is custom candy painting.
