DIY: Rear windshield nozzle SUPER SOAKER!
#82
Help With Install
To those who have done this: it seems way too difficult to take off the brake light assembly (not the black cover, the actual silver lamp). Is it glued on or held in place by something other than the screws...? I can't figure it out.
If I can manage to do this myself than I can take some pics if there are still none available...
(Or if anyone would be kind enough to take some in the meantime, that would be great!)

So here we have the rear brake light:
Place your fingers on the top of this black plastic and pull straight down. You'll now see this:
The brake light assembly has two 10mm bolts...
Remove them...
Now, to remove the assembly, place your fingers in between the plastic and the glass as shown and pull a slight angle. This takes a bit of force.
Now you have this:
Now look inside of the hole, and you'll see the hose.
On each side are two small tabs. What I did was push in the right tab first while pushing out. Then, try rotating the nozzle from the inside by moving the hose around. After some wiggling around you should get it rotated fully like so:
Now, reassemble and fire away!

This is the best cheapest mod - I did this earlier this year and have been using the soaker on suckers for the last few months. It's awesome spritzing someone in a newly washed car when they're driving like a *****! hahahahahahaha!

^^^ When you spend $120 and add 2 sets of hella twin super tone horns like I did, that is even better. When people drive awfully, why waste your energy by cursing, flipping the bird, etc? I simply hold down my horn until I feel much better. I let the 130 decibels do the talking.
Link to my setup is in my sig below ;]

^^ I want your setup. I've seen your post on it awhile back and knew I had to do it someday. A small box with a LOUD horn... no one expects that, haha.
But I'm not sure where the best place to mount it would be... while keeping the grill on...

I'm really thinking about mounting them in that black mesh area above the license plate... dwatts had them there and said they worked fine so I am wondering if that's what I should do. The horns, from top to bottom, are about 5" and that opening in the grill is only 3" . I am wondering if any sound will bounce off parts of the bumper and go into the engine compartment... that, also they have to be mounted very very solidly - so they don't move. any play in the mount makes the horns sound awful.
i'll see what i'll do...

so of all the people doing this mod... have you maybe gone into the mall/store ect. and come back out to find your box with the a window busted out or a huge dent in it somewhere? maybe a slashed tire? This kind of thing seems fun and games but i could easily see you really ____ing someone off
