i know people blur those out so people can't track others and whatnot but last i checked i don't make enemies... but if you want to meet me, there's your means if you don't want to simply ask me where i live come give me a visit, you'll be greeted with a hearty hello and a beer in hand

Beer? But you're 20

My guess is that your little photo shoot was at Point Defiances?

sure was, best place for a wide open photoshot in my opinion...

actually, i'd rather have some whiskey straight, no ice or Dr. pepper and Cpt. Morgan's Tattoo rum 50/50. the taste of hops in beer just makes me cringe. don't get me wrong though, i don't drink hardly much at all but maybe 2-3 times in a year... been then way since i turned 18 i think... just not a huge drinker... but hey, still a beer if ya want one

Winter,
Was it hard to match the interior mods (texture-wise) to stock? Have you applied any armour-all or anything? ...maybe a satin texture
-the grill and lights look sick- love that it's all DIY.
IMHO I wouldn't do the gas door cap, but to each his own

the spray actually conforms to the texture of the plastic so it was really just a spray and dry thing.

as for armor-all, i haven't done that yet, i've been waiting a good couple weeks before i do that to make sure that the paint is real dry but on the other hand, after clear-coating it i don't think armor-all shine is needed haha.

i'm not going to do the gas door, think it would look a bit off to have one added black piece just on one side.

i do plan, however, to order all new interior pieces. everything except the seat belts and headliner and then i'm going to have it professionally done knowing the reputation of spray paint. i love the look, but how long it's going to last, i wouldn't be able to say. it WILL last longer then normal though because of what i used over what's normally used. so as soon as i notice some cracking or chipping anywhere, which i've been looking for like a hawk, i'll start to save up for the new parts.

as for the head-liner, i might get a second quart of paint to sponge in again because i think theres a few light spots on the sides, i figure just cover the whole thing again to make sure that it's fully black. also, ontop of all this, i figured that while doing the new paneling later on, that anything with that sandy like texture on the interior such as parts of the door panels and the lower half of the dash i'll do in the same flat black and clear coat while the checkered like textured parts of the upper door panels and the upper half of the dash stay the dark grey that they are.

hahaha i would if i could it just so happens that our assigned parkings spots are right next to each other hahaha!

think of it this way, gives him a comparison and some day he'll be like "my god! that's it! i need to buy an xB! and then i'll be Ballah' status! or i can keep my honda... and die in it from hitting a twig on the road..."

yeah winter, sounds good. I think the interior will be pricey until the cars are a lot older ~10 years. Remember the real xB's (1st gen) are considered collector's items now due to the cessation of production circa 2006.5 I have seen a lot of cool interior mods though. Have you seen any shaven dashes? I gives a real smooth look nothing like stock and glossy like the outside of the car. Good for shows but not my taste for my daily.

If you are not happy with the sponging on the headliner maybe wrap with tweed. I read earlier that you don't like the "sag" but if you have a pro install then you can prevent that-and might be cheaper than all new interior.

nah, just another quart will do it. i'm not buying a new headliner, screw that. thats $1,200+tax for something i don't need replaced.

it's just the pillar panels, assistance handles, headliner pins, visors and visor brackets, rear view mirror, spoiler, hatch handle cover. thats all i need so it's around $1,600 for all that new. then i figured i'd just go to maaco and have them do flat black with clear coat splatter finish and gloss polish finish for the hatch handle cover and spoiler. that way it looks nice and if it gets scratched it wont be a fortune to fix.

think when i get the new LED taillights i'm gona smoke them again and then have the polished up so it's a shiny finish rather then a dull orange peal black finish.

i'd like the complete black smoke though, the stuff i used gives a yellow tint with the first couple coats until you get like 10-15 coats when it's actually blacked out.
