These are the Blazer All-Weather Fogs. Wired up and fused to the parking lights.

Got to love the overly salted Maryland roads.

So, do we mount these to the bottom lip? Or mount/hang them from the bumper that the license plate is mounted to?

mounted mine on my lip since the lights do have a "top" drilled a nice size hole in there for the bolt to fit into. plus you have to figure, you have to tighten the nut down somehow.

Has anyone who has done this been able to make it completely flush with the grill? It's hard to tell in the pictures. I thought about doing it but only if I can make it flush fitting.

Not completely flush, but only off by maybe 1/2 an inch at the most. I dont see why you couldnt make it flush if you measured it out ahead of time and not be as drill-happy as I was.

Correct, as the guy a few posts up said it is much easier to tighten them this way, and the lip/bumper has the same thickness and therefore the same rigidity to keep the lights from bouncing

Just curious if there is enough space in the housing for an H3 HID bulb to fit in there?
Might look at getting some but would rather have HID instead of the age old halogens.
I have the Osram Sylvania Xenarc X1010 HID Xenon Auxiliary HID Low Beam/Driving/Fog Lights from SUVlights.com but just have not installed them yet.
I have never seen the size difference in H3 lights from halogen and HIDs, but I would imagine they would fit, there is room to work with in there. I just think the idea of $200 (guessing) lights in $18 housings is great.

haha it was pretty random, I was up in Lake Tahoe this weekend and parked next to some older Dodge truck with these exact same fog lights installed.

Ha ha! I took it with my camera phone. The damn Sidekick 3 sucks at taking photos. I'll get a better pic one of these days.

The only problem with mounting to the top of the bumper is that on the drivers side, there's a cutout right where you'd have to drill. So there's no mounting location on the top side. The bottom of the lip seems like the best idea, and if you ever take them out, just paint some plugs for the holes, it's the cleanest route other than a new lip.
I'll admit that the drilling is the one thing that's keeping me from going though with it. I have everything ready to go when I can get my nerve up.

well.. that sucks. i read that mounting them to the bottom will make them alittle stronger as far as mounting goes. thanks for the reply and more pics please

^^ Also, if you mount to the bottom, you can actually mount the lights without removing the bumper.
