Default Foglight outage issue ???

So I have the OEM foglights.
The driver's side bulb went out, so i went ahead and got some nokya hyper yellows (9006) for the fogs. I swapped the bulbs in. Both sides the lights work fine for about a week.
Now, it seems like the driver's side again does not work.
I suspect that something in the wiring is loose because I do not believe that the bulb would burn out like that, especially knowing that i did not touch the bulb while installing.

anyone have any suspicions?

i might just have to go to the dealer and have them check it out ....

Before you go to the stealership (unless its warranty work)

check the wiring in the harness, you might have an loose wire

Start in the bumper and give it a few light tugs both ways, i read somewhere that someoen just needed to clean their connections in the harness due to grime

So could be tons of things.

Good luck

make sure not to touch teh glass with any of teh debris that may in the way. that might blow it out.

is the filament blown? if not its the wiring or a bad relay.

double check the connector at the bulbs...i have the same issue with my foglights..the right side always comes loose..it actually not the connector its the bulb..the connector doesnt snap on to the bulb like the stock bulbs...if that is your problem, then once it works try to put some elictrical tape around it to keep from coming off..good luck!!!

ok so i checked it out today. it actually was that when i plugged the bulb into the harness, i actually put it in too far (all the way on). it seems like the bulb would only work if it was on snugly but not super tight. weird, but whatever.

no biggie.

so it went out again, and again, the bulb was seated in too far. i think the issue is that I have the AEM CAI, and so the filter sits right under where the foglight plug is. Thus, when driving around, the bumping and whatever hits the harness/plug and pushes the two together more, thus causing the outage.

might have to get some putty to put in the dang thing ...
