Default Got the new Valor exhaust tip on...

So after I gave the cheaper tip I found at the auto store a try, but it just didn't fit right and kept coming lose no matter what I tried, even after trying replacement bolts and such.

So then I went ahead and ordered the Valor tip from the Scion dealer and picked it up today. It's not quite as large as the other, but it definitely fits a lot better and lot tighter without any movement after driving it home. The clamp on the Valor tip is perfectly designed for the oval factory pipe and isn't going anywhere.

It fills the gap very nicely and looks more straight since it's not right up against the edge like the other one.

Here's pics...much happier with this one and glad I decided to spend the extra $$ for the one from the dealer...

Not to be a smart ___, but I think aftermarket exhausts on a 4 banger sound like a lawn mower. I just did it for looks. I didn't want to spend the $$ on a full system just to get 5hp gains on 108hp to start with. And like I said, I don't like the sound of lthe aftermarket sound on these cars. It's not a race car. I just want it to look good.

And again, no offense to those that love their aftermarket sound...it's just my thing.

Thanks tho!

Oh and it seems this Valor tip is shinier than the other from the auto shop. Perhaps cuz this is chromed out and not just stainless steel.

I know exactly what you mean. I just bought the strup v2 and Im selling it becuase of the noise.

The hp gain is small but I loved it. It really does help and you notice it. As soon as I took the strup off I could feel the restriction of the stock exhaust again.

So Ive decided to go for the Greddy Evo 2. Its just as silent as stock, gives the HP gain, and has a great looking tip.

I love it. Looks just as good, if not better than the AutoZone one. And just having it fit better makes it a perfect choice.
