One more question... when you guys fit these tails on... are they completely flush?
Mine seem to be a little less than perfect and it's kind of bothersome...
I tried to fit them the best I could but they seem a little off on the bottom... any tips?

Check that there aren't any wires pinched between the light and mounting spot. That may stop it from fitting flush. Don't over tighten the nuts. Good Luck!
I just installed these lights about a week ago. This evening I was doing a walkaround of my box and I noticed that the tails aren't lit. Anyone else have this problem? I'm gonna see if the harness isn't plugged in good.

Thanks Jethro.
Well I found the problem. The fuse was burnt. It appears that my tails are popping the fuse everytime I put in a new one. I guess that the LEDs are drawing a lot of current? I'm afraid to put a higher amp fuse because it may do some damage.
Anyone else find out theirs is doing the same thing?

Also make sure there are no exposed wires that are grounding. A possiblity is that you may have somehow stripped the plastic coating off one of the wires. I hope you are able to find the problem, once you have them working correctly, you will really like em. Keep us up to date.
Use 6ohm load resistors. One for each tail light. They splice right in with quick connectors. They have them at www.autolumination.com
Even better is to change the flasher relay to one that works with LEDs. superbrightleds.com has one (newer Toyota model) for about $14, works like a champ! By the way, I have the blacked out version of the LED tails and they look sweet on my SM xB.
I found the problem the other day. Apparently there was a small cut in one of the wires that was causing the short. You were right 1epoxYbox. I taped that sucker up and it's all good now. I love these lights. Thanks again guys!
^^^Great!!! I only had that suggestion because the same thing happened to me. The T-taps that come with the lights are crappy. I could not get them to cut through the wire to make contact, so I ended up stripping the wire to solder the connections. I mistakenly melted the coating off the nearby wire without noticing, leading to a power wire grounding on the frame and blown fuses. Anywho, glad you found the problem, post a pick of the lights if you have a chance.
