Default LICENSE PLATE QUESTION.

I am interested in knowing if anyone here would be interested in rubber mounts that will fit in the bottom two holes of a license plate to help eliminate/reduce the rattling noise when you close the trunk. I'm trying to see if I can get some made. Cost would be like 5 to 6 dollars shipped.

You thinking of just some rubber pieces to prop "up" the bottom of the license plate? I think the tC people might be up for that too...

If I didn't already have the silver "SCION" license plate frame, I'd be down. It has 2 "tabs" that "holds" my plate in place. It eliminated my rattle. Of course, it cost me $25 so your solution (if produced) would be considerably cheaper. I'm sure lots of peeps will jump on this. Good luck.

I have used doublesided tape on all my cars with audio systems.

It will be good for this application also. And you won't have to use an adhesive.

The adhesive only goes on the plate, so there would nt be any residue to contend with paint-side.

I'm another who used little patches of 3M trim tape both front and rear.

In the past I've used the stick-on 'feet' from RadioShack that I always have laying around to handle the problem.

Like I said, only an idea. These would be removable and transferable to any license plate. And would last a lifetime.
