why? theres 6 in clearance stock... i think the rear bumper/lip is enough for mud flappage, from behind you can barely see the wheels...

The owners manual recommends them.

I would be interested in some as well. I had no luck in my search though.

I'd love to find some that fit also. During the winter, the snow really packs in there behind the rear wheels up under the rear bumper. Then you pull into the garage and all that slop melts.

If anyone find them....Please post it here.

Its on page 175 of the 2006 Manual as follows:
"Use mud shields on your wheels. If you drive on salted or gravel roads mus shields help protect your vehicle. Full size Mud shields which come as near to the ground as possible are best. We recommend that the fittings and and the area where the shields are installed be treated to resist corrosion. Your Scion dealer will be happy to assist you in supplying and installing the shields if they are recommended for your area."

Will no salted roads anymore (moved to Florida from North Dakota) and no gravel roads.

Never heard or seen of any mud flaps. Have you called your local dealer?

I know how you feel....

In Oregon they gravel the roads during the winter, rather than salt....

Well, last winter I was all concerned about the gravel on the roads chipping up they side of my xB.....

To my surprise, thier was not a single chip on the side of my xB...

With that said, I probably only drove 1000 miles all winter long, and didnt go over any mountain passes where they gravel longer and more heavily...

I did put on a 3M clear bra on the front bumper and also on the front part of the side skirts....

I think that statement that you posted from your owners manual is a missprint- because Scion does not offer mudflaps....

just like in my owner's manual, it states that my xB comes with heated rearview mirrors- NOT- compleate missprint!

i remember seeing the white ones on here, but they cost around $100. best bet prolly is to get the universal ones and do them yourself.

The manual also says not to mod the car...forgot what page.

Id like to see what mud flaps actually look like on a box. I hope you post pics. :D
