Hmmm. Chico. If you're in Nor CA, go to Scionnight at Marine World Sept 15th and LOOK. It's free to get in.
You'lle get plenty of ideas and answers to questions there!

If you want looks, probably wheels & tires. And drop it.

Audio? $1500 gets you started pretty good.

Long trips? Cruise control.

I always reccomend a Colgon Bra to protect the front and the micro-thin paint.

Good suggestions all around.

Is this a daily driver or a show car? Mines a daily driver, so here's what I would suggest:

1. Cruise Control - Extremely convenient and will help with your highway MPG greatly.

2. Some sort of front end protection - The paint on the XB's is definitely "micro thin". Any extended highway or rough road driving will tear up the front end quick. I've got several nice dings and chips and I've only had my XB for 3 weeks!!!!

3. K&N air filter - Will run you about $50 and will give you alittle extra pep in the 0-40mph range. Nothing to make you jump out of your seat, but definitely noticable.

That's my top three for a daily driver for practicality/convenience sake.

I would definately get some front end protection as suggested as well as some nice wheels and tires.

If done right and by shopping around, you can actually buy alot for $1500...

17" rim and tire package: $800-900
Lowering Springs: $140-180
Strut Bar: $100-150
Intake (I recommend a Short Ram for piece of mind): $175+

YELOSUB just took the words right out of my mouth. errrr off my keyboard.

And if you lower it, look into replacing the stock shocks with some Monroes fir a nicer ride, esp. if you get 17s

Yes they are, but given the budget, Monroes work just fine.
