Thats a problem exclusive to the VentShades brand which is well documented here. They designed them wrong, plain and simple. The Wades do not snag at all when the window slides into the channel.

 

i'm so in. i didn't want to buy any visors after my wade inchannel's got stolen but fot this price, i'll take the risk!

any tricks to removing the in-channel ones w/o too much tacky stuff getting stuck to my window?

i just did this.... it will peal right off of the rubber seal... your problem is on the B pillars where the sticky tape sticks real good. get yourself some goo-gone and spray it on let it sit for about 20 minutes, scrape off most of it, repeat the goo-gone and then either polish real hard with a cloth (circular motions) or get a dremel with a cloth pad and use that to buff it away. its what i did (dremel) and it didn't super polish the plastic, and you can't tell where the tape was at all. just don't touch the rubber when you have it set to high speed. it will leave a little brush mark.

I guess the clips are suppose to help hold the visors up. But I think the double sided tape will do. You can tell if the visors are real or not by the clips and the ESAM logo. Other than that, I dont see any other difference!

 

id like a set of these as well.

my ventshades are horrible and prevent the window from going all they way up unless i physically push it in.
