is there a difference between the genuine Toyota part Yakima rack system and the Q rack system my Yakima? kuz there is a huge price difference. and if any1 has pics of the Toyota Yakima rack system could they throw it up? i could not seem to find one online... close up pics i mean so i can see if there is a difference.

 

They should be the same thing since Yakima makes the "OEM" rack.

i found some more info on it and it said it was the q bars. but what was throwing me off was the big price difference... its more than 150$ less through toyota than off other websites...

 

Keep in mind that this rack would also be considered discontinued since it was originally sold for the Gen 1. If I were you I'd piece together a rack on craigslist. All you need are Qtowers, Q121 Clips, 58" Crossbars, & sks (same key system) lock cores. I pieced together a kit w/o locks for $110 w/a combination of used & new parts.
