Default Peeling blue paint

Test drove a 2005 today that had very large areas of paint peeling off the front. I don't know the official color names, but it was dark blue. Is this a known issue with this paint, or should I suspect other problems, such as a repaint due to an accident? Thanks.

there are to reasons paint will peel, one is it has been repainted, not always becouse of an accident, but that is possable. normally if it is pealing tho its cuz it was not repaired corectly, and the paint has lost adheasion. the othwer reason it could do it is fromnot being taken care of. the owner before did not take care of it by waxing or what not and the clear has been baked off fromthe sun. that is not normally a problem i have seen with scion paint, but i live in chicago so im sure it could be alot dif in a sunnyer area. look it oveer good to see if it was wrecked, if it looks good and the price is right use that as a way to get the price down and fix it after the purchase! good luck
