Default Running Board Protection

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to protect the running boards from getting scuffed? This appears to happen when people get in and out by accidentally dragging their shoes against the running board. Seems like a product similar to the bumper applique would work well. Any ideas for a solution?

Thanks!

Theirs a thing called "bed liner spray", its by duplicolor and its availble at any Walmart, id try putting a layer of that on the bottom of your side skirt. It will look pretty cool too, i did my grill in it... If their was some way you could spray the bottom of the side skirt in it and make it lip over to the side, that would be cool...
