Default Silverstar Ultra!!!!!!

Anybody tried the new silverstar Ultra's yet? I got some Sonar headlights comming in Friday, I might give them a try and see what they do in them. I don't like the $49.99 price tag, but 25% brighter,25% farther and 30% more life I do like.

I can't find anything about an "Ultra" version of the Silverstars on the company website. Though I have heard about them recently. Have they come out yet?

I saw then in autozone, I felt them, touched them, shook them . They only seem to have 4 versions. 9004,9005,9006,& 9007's. The 4,6, &7 look like regular silverstars, maybe the glass is alittle bluer tinted, but the tips are gold instead of silver. The 9005 seem to look more like my siverstar turn signal bulbs, blue tinted glass with goldish coloring added. You will know them when you see them, the pakage has ultra big as day, when you get closer you will see they are silverstars.

Guess I'm gonna have to go get them and try them myself. I got my sonar headlights in and installed. I'm verry happy with the looks and can live with the output, but don't like the stock 9006 bulb's yellow looking light after haveing the regular Silverstars.

I saw them today at Pep Boys. $50 is a little steep.

I tried the Ebay thing. They took my money, didn't recieve anything, no email or nothing! After 2 weeks I got worried and tried to contact them and their E-mail address turned up bad! I waited another week than reproted them to paypal and got my money back the next day.

Ordered my headlights from bBist on friday 3:00, buy the time I got home I had an Email with the tracking # and a scaned coppy of my invoice. Recieved the package early the next Thursday morning.

I payed alittle more, but that money couldn't buy back the month I wasted waiting and worrying about some of the sellers on Ebay.

OK here's the deal with the Ultra's, I got my set tonight. $50 a pair. 20% brighter than regular haogen bulbs, just like regular Silverstars. 20% more distance than regular halogen bulbs, just like regular Silverstars. 30% more life than regular Silverstars.

So thats the key, they are just regular Silverstars with longer life. So if Silverstars last you a year the Ultra's should last 4 months longer. It's your decision weather thats worth the extra $10 to $15.

Keep checking ebay for the silverstars. I got my heads and fogs to match, both silverstars, for $48 shipped. You can find some good deals on them if you look.
