Suggestions on painting...
I want to get my car repainted, same color (RS3.0) since I've got a bunch of scratches on it from a truck pulling out in front of me, someone keying my trunk all the way through to the steel (I'm guessing...), ownage from a 2ft tall curb in St. Augustine, tree branches and what not. Anyways, details aside, would it be cheaper to go to the dealer and get it repainted or go to some paintshop that can match the color?
What's your opinions?

Go straight to a GOOD bodyshop who can match the RS3 paint correctly...
Btw, a dealership most likely ships the car out to a bodyshop to get it painted and when they're done painting it, the dealership tacks on a "little extra" for themselves!

Also, do you think the bodyshop's paint will be thicker and less likely to chip than the stock paint? I've heard nothing but complaints when it comes to the stock paint Scion ships the cars out with.
#1 Go to a VERY good shop!
#2 It's going to cost a lot for a complete re-spray($2k+)... best to file a insurance claim and get them to pay for most of it, if not all.
#3 Go to a GREAT shop.
#4 Ask to see "spray outs" of the color they mix, then you can critique it and pick the exact color YOU want.
#5 Go to a RELLLY GOOD shop.
As for the paint, yeah it will last a lot better... if you go to a GOOD shop that uses quality paint.
I think that covers it. I'm a collision repair tech, so if you have any questions, PM me and I'll help you out.
