there was a couple guys on the boards that tried it and did a lot of structural damage to the back or something. one guy even sold his and bought another cause he said it was so messed up.
from my understanding, the back area where you would normally bolt the suicide hinges is no way strong enough to bolt something and hold the door. but im no expert, so dont take my word for it. this was dream mod too. hehehe. dream on i guess.

i think you would have to actually modify the whole door and rear quarter panel, the way they are shaped will not work for the door to open like that, you would have to probably have a hinge that comes out first, then opens outward...but as said, with money, anything can be done ;-)

the element hinge idea wouldn't work cause the back of the elements door is straight and the xb is curved. a few people w/ 300c's have tried doing this conversion as well but had no luck cause of the door shape. the back curve only leaves room for a hinge up top but i think it might work if you add a gas strut on the lower half to reinforce it. i haven't put much thought into the design so the strut might not even fit.

i'm sure it can be done it's just gonna cost a good amount of $$$. the major problem people are having is the hinge isn't strong enough so the door sags and hits the door sill area.
