Default Third Brake Light

So, long story short..ex-girlfriend smashed out my rear window by hitting with a golf club right on the third brake light. Totally took off the cover and light, so I just tucked the wires in to the hole. It's inspection time in VA and I need the light and cover to pass and the dealer wants $200 to fix it. Searched around online for the OEM part but couldn't find anything. Anyone know a place to get OEM or any ideas on how to fix this cheaper than $200?

get something like a trailer light or something, L brackets and your set. may look like ___ but it should work.

just mount it where the 3rd brake light was. or under it.

Default Junk Yard

I need a Door lock Control Module for my xB. It cost $500 from the factory. But I bought one from an Auto Dismantler fir $125. Call arround your area. I'm sure that they have one fairly cheap.

Good Luck.

Did you call the dealer's parts dept. and ask how much would this part cost if you ordered it? That way you won't have to pay the dealer for installing it.

Ouch!
But installation is very easy and $140 is better than $200. And the box will be as good as new. Hey, you already spend some big bucks to replace the rear glass. Might as well make the repair complete and original.

Toyota has the ballz charging $140 for a piece of plastic reflector with a red lens! Probably costs less than $5 to make.
