Hi,

Does anyone now how to reset the maintenance required light after start up on the XB, it has just a little over 5000 miles on it.

RTFM.

Really. It's right in the manual. Sit down with a cup of coffee and read it, marvelling at the occasional translation error and completely erroneous bit (ahem, heated mirrors? )

Try the search button in red, the quick search takes me forever when I use it.

Well since nobody else will answer it i will. (But seriously, search for it first) Make sure your metter is set to ODO and not trip A/B , then turn off the car. Hold down the rod/switch thingy and turn the car back on again. This will reset the maint. req. light.

did you not receive 3 free oil changes w/purchase? that's how it is around here, or at least it was when i bought my xb. if so, then take it to the dealer every 5k until you reach 15k, and they'll do it for you. that should give you plenty of time to figure it out yourself.

The dealer forgot it on my first oil change, but got it on the second. I knew how to fix it, but wanted to see if they would.
