I've been visiting the local scion dealership here in Anchorage, and i've yet to have a good experience talking to anyone down here about the Scion line. Today, my g/f went down to talk to them about the rs 2.0 xb, they told her that we would need to order one before april 4th, otherwise the price on ALL of the scion line is going up by $2,000!

Does anyone have any information on this? or is this some type of local thing? We already get screwed on prices up here because of shipping, now they are adding 2k to the price? i'm looking at ordering one here in the next couple of weeks, and if this is true it's going to be this friday before the price goes up.

I would suggest going elsewhere. The xB was my first car. I purchased it alone. Can only suggest that you go into the dealership knowing ALL of your information off top.

Have your figures in writing, know your credit info and keep up with the interest rates.

My dealership was nice, but I still gave them a bit of a hard time. I had to give them info on the interest rate.

Like with anything else some folks will try to take you. You should be able to get online pricing info from your local dealers via email-- with complete breakdowns giving you your price out the door.

 

Wait, who are you talking with at Scion in Anchorage?

Oh, and he can't go anywhere else. The only other Scion dealership in Alaska is in Kodiak. Kodiak is an island. Go figure.

 

Probalby just a bad dealership trying to price gouge her because she's a girl.

 

I'd call the Scion hotline.
