Default Anyone know for sure? tC's Key/Fob combo work for the xB?

Is the key fob for the tC capable of being programed on a xB? and can you cut the key to fit the xB's ignition?

I have been thinking about doing this fo a long time, But I am wondering if anyone on SL has attempted this.............

I've not seen the TC key. I'm assuming it's a clicker and key in one?

My New Beetle had one of those and I was really disappointed when I got my xA and found out they still have separate key fobs and keys.

The clicker/keyfob in one is growing on me every day - and I liked it from the beginning. The key looks ugly at first, but you save so much room on your keychain without the seperate clicker and it's so much easier for me to use...better buttons than on my old GM/Saturn fob.

Exactly! A Toyota Tech can chime in at any time now....

My thinking is this: I am pretty sure that the fob part of the key will work for the lock/unlock functions- being that all other toyota's run on the same type of remotes.

I just want to know if I buy a blank key/fob combo- will I be able to cut the key to fit my xB???

Anyone?
