Default Box under passenger seat

I have searched, but to no avail. Is the silver box mounted under the passenger seat in my '06 the satellite receiver?

Thanks.

Ok, this is crazy. I've had my RS 3.0 for almost 2 years. I never pressed the SAT button on the unit because I figured it didn't have it, the head unit is labeled Satellite Ready. So the wife asks me the other day if I want to get a subscription to Sirius/XM and I tell her no because I would have to buy the tuner, that mine is only satellite ready. So today she lifts up a cover under the passenger seat and says "what's this"? I said I don't know but it looks like something related to the audio. Just for fun, I turn the key and press the SAT button. To my amazement, not only does the car have the tuner, the damn thing is receiving all the channels!!! Almost 2 years now and I didn't even know it. I guess the previous owner (original) and either had it activated and it's still a good subscription, or it just never got de-activated. Either way, I have it.

What a day....LOL

Satellite radio...a while back...had lifetime subscriptions. Not sure exactly when they stopped it but its been a while. my guess is they bought lifetime subscription and then sold the car...no monthly bill means no reason to call up and cancel ya know?

Yes, apparently Sirius was running a 2 week promotion about the time I made my discovery. Lost my service in a few days. I still get the preview channel. Nice to find out I have the radio, but I'm not interested in paying $15/month for it....

By the way, I noticed your handle. I have a daughter named Sammy....
