Default Breaking-in period

...yeah, i RTFM (I stayed up all night), but I want to know exactly what is meant by "Don't drive it at the same speed for a long time." I have to drive now from Palo Alto (near San Francisco) to LA Sunday. How should I heed this advice as I break in my new Mr. Egg? Speed, slow, take side streets, take breaks, etc?? Thanks.

Don't go 80mph the whole way there. Do 80, 75, 70, etc. Vary your speed. If you stop at a rest stop, let the engine cool down all the way (I'm a firm believer in heat cycling) and take a break Not required though, but it's something I personally like to do with my engines.

And never ever ever beat on the car when it's still cold.
