Got it. about the one dome light bulb and that you prefer the 9 LED one.

Got it about the entire taillight assembly.

Thanks, Kerry

Hi hotbox05,

Reviewing the thread and realized I didn't answer your question.
...first of all may I ask why you want/need brighter backup lighting?
In 2000 I replaced my Saturn's default OEM bayonet socket backup bulbs with 50-watt bayonet halogen bulbs. The difference is remarkable. It lights up the rear area so much better than the wimpy OEM bulbs. As I get older I need all the help I can get.

...if you had 50 watt fog lights in before do that conversion again.
Never had fog lights on the Saturn. I've only had the xB two weeks and I can't justify the expense of buying factory fog lights given we don't have much fog. I would however get them if I could find well written instructions for wiring fog lights so that they come on automatically and serve as daylight running lights (my insurance company gave me a small discount because my Saturn had daylight running lights that came on automatically when I started the car. I've read threads where members tried to wire fog lights to run as running lights, they all seemed to have problems, apparently there are no well-written step-by-step instructions.

Hi Brambling:

Re:
Maybe you could find Xenon bulbs
hotbox05 posted that he found the 9 LEDs to be much brighter than the OEM dome light. But I'll ask around about Xenon bulbs.

Thanks,

Kerry

Default 9 LED light for Dome Light?

Hi hotbox05,

Where did you pickup the 9 LED light for the Dome Light?
My stock dome light is the pits.

TIA,

Thanks for the link to Oznium.

They offer two sizes, small (12 LEDs) and large (20 LEDs). Any one know if the large will fit my 2006 xB? I like bright.

Oznium's FAQ reads:
Question: For the xB does it matter which one I get? Will they both fit? Or only the smaller one? - by Pace (Dallas area)
Answer: I think both will fit.
The word "think" bothers me.

Thanks,

Kerry

Got it about the Martrix II being able to bounce light off of the rear of the backup light fixture.

Thanks,

the dome light is only one bulb. i own two different ones the 9 led and the 3 watt one ,
Hi Kerry,

Where did you get the 9 LED Dome light?
I can't see all over my interior with that lousy OEM bulb.

TIA

Hi Mr. Luv,

I'm confused. I think you've got me mixed up with someone else's post.
