Default A/C delay start

This seems minor compared to some of the A/C problems I found using search, but anyway...

IIRC the A/C in my '05 used to start blowing cold as soon as I turned it on. Now, when the car is started for the first time in the day, it takes some time for the A/C to kick in. Takes longer on cool days, shorter on hot days, so it seems to be tied to warmup. Seems to kick in before the blue coolant light goes out. Once it kicks in, it cools fine.

Two tries at the dealer so far have yielded nothing. First time they wanted me to pay for A/C evacuate and recharge, maybe due to misunderstanding my complaint. This time I think they understood the complaint, but concluded that it was operating satisfactorily, because the outlet temperature had cooled down within some number of minutes after starting the car. Nevertheless, I'm sure it didn't used to take so long. Also, in most every air-conditioned car I've owned, the A/C starts cooling without waiting for any kind of warmup.

So, do I have a real complaint (still under extended warranty), or is it working within normal parameters?

my a/c takes a minute or two to start cooling. usually by the time i get out of my apartment complex its starting to blow cool. it may just need to be recharged. but i am not a tech so my word is not set in stone.
