I just got back from the long weekend ,Where i visited Toronto Canada .I was amazed by all the Canadians who would litterly stop and stare at my ride .It started to get so Bad i dreaded pulling up to any place because of the bombardment of questions But besides i love the attention but damn !
Anyways it was a totally awsome Trip the Total Run was about 1200 miles round trip the Box handled great and would do it again any day hopefully by then they will start selling the Scions in Canada,So i won't have to become the Canadian Spokesman for Scion.

 

I'll be finding that out real soon cause my wife and I have been invited to a wedding, also in Toronto, in mid July...FUN :D

 

You will probably travelling through Detriot then if you Fallow the 401 BY a place called Guelph Ontario you may come across some luck Canadians who own Scions But of couarse the Paid out the Backside for thiers and most are on Desplay only but enjoy the trip From Chicago thats a nice Haul about 12 hours hope your wife Can share the drive with you mine couldn,t drive stick so i was the DD.

 

12 hours uh, I was told 7 hours... I'll be driving only since my Box is also stick...

 

may be i used to drive a truck from Toronto to Chicago .i do remember it took about 3 hours from Windsor to Toronto but also if you have the chance use the 407 toll rd you don,t have to pay as the have noway of enforsing the toll if you have a plate from the states. good luck it killed me but it was a great trip.

 

Had the same reaction in Niagria Falls.
When I got back to my car my girlfriend and I stood off to the side and just watched all the people stopping to look at it parked on the side of the road.

 

It's 530 miles so at an average speed of 60 mph figure about 9 hrs and make sure you have either your birth certificate or passport to get back into the states. They have gotten real funny about that. Have a great trip and use a credit card for most of your purchases or exchange money at the border, most places don't give you the right exchange rate when buying stuff with US money.

 

Hahaha! I've noticed the same thing in Vancouver, BC. I've been there twice in the last couple of months and almost every time I'm stopped at a crosswalk, people will slow down and even stop to stare. I finally know what it's like to be a girl and have people stare at your chest...

 

Thanks for the heads-up, I'm taking a trip up to London ON this summer (it's like 1/2 way-ish between Toronto and Windsor) to see some friends.

Funny though, I don't need to travel to Canada to get people to stare and point - this past weekend my trip to Nyack NY caused a major commotion - you'da thought I was driving a yellow Ferrari the way the crowds gathered.

I love standing out in a crowd.

tried to contact you before i left for To met up with the guy from Audiosounds in Guelph how has a Blue XB .I will be up again later in the year so we will have to hook up.
i went through Niagra ,Fort Erie Bridge a little faster on the crossing there is constuction on the Queenston Lewingston Bridge and don't even think of the Peace brige you will be stuck in traffic forever.Had No problems at the Border crossing .
