Default Cargo Area Under-floor Storage?

I'm about to buy an xB, just waiting for the 2006 models to come in

In the meantime, I was browsing Scion's website and while reading the features for the xB, I came across this:

Cargo Area Under-floor Storage

How big/small is this storage area? I'm assuming it's pretty small.

I've always liked to carry some basic tools inside all my vehicles. I was just wondering if this storage area under the cargo area was enough to accomodate a very small, basic toolbox, or maybe even just some jumper cables.

Can someone be so kind as to take a picture of this storage area?

Thanks in advance

The storage area is big enough for a small toolkit. That is it on the right, under the mat. The cover lifts off to expose a foam holding area. Yes it is watertight, and yes you can put beer and ice in it.

It's about 14"x18"x6" (complete guess)

Default No pics, but...

some more info for you. Your spare tire is on the left, so no room there. But next to it is about 8" deep. I keep a small Craftsman socket set, a Leatherman tool, a Camelback (canteen), SureFire flashlight, and our first aid kit that came with the car, the car's manual, & a small umbrella. Oh yeah, and a Emerson folding knife. I was a boy scout, can you tell? "Be prepared." It's a small space, but you'd be surprised how much it will store. Sorry no pics.
Good luck with yours!

In the right side compartment I have jumper cables. 1/4" metric socket set and a canvas roll of tools including pliers, screwdrivers, and ratcheting wrenches. It is packed, but I have what I think I need.....

I keep essentials in that space in my xB, too... glass cleaner, cotton terry cloths, small spray
cleaner, small spray wax, micro-fiber cloths, silicone lube, tire shine, screwdrivers, pliers,
adjustable wrench, tire pressure gauge, duct tape, electrical tape, small prybar, hammer... :D

I won't be putting any subwoofers or anything like that

It's going to be strictly for emergency items such as a small toolset, jumper cables, and a flashlight

Can someone take a picture of the actual storage area opened up? I need a better idea of how big the storage area is

Thanks in advance

I keep jumper cables and an amp in there. There's room for a good amount of stuff.
