Default corolla engine in an xB?

Does anyone know if it is possible to drop a new corolla engine in an xB, or if it has been done before?

In the back or in the front and connected?

It would take a major overhaul of the suspension, but I guess you could do it. I have a running 94 corolla & 5-spd sitting in my driveway I could use if I was so inclined and had the time. I put a ported, polished, balanced Buick v-6 and custom auto tranny in a 71 SR5 truck once. So, anything can be done.

My Toyota Tech Boyfriend Ratboy.com says:

The 1zzfe came in the xB in a special edition in Japan.

It has been done and discussed here as well! and he says "Anything will fit if you have the $$$" lol
