Default Dead pedal/foot rest question...

I really want to put a more substantial dead pedal in the xB. Does anybody know if whatever is behind the factory piece will trake a few screws to mount one? Anybody have any pics of one installed in your car?

Thanks!

Technically speaking, it's the piece of plastic to the left of the clutch in manual cars. It's the pedal where your foot should rest when it's not on the clutch.

And no, there's not one to speak of. I think I removed it when I put down dynamat, and it was a cheap piece of plastic. I'll have to look a little closer later.

I have the Razo dead pedal in my xB with no problems. Just used the 4 small screws that came with it and secured it right to the floor.

A dead pedal is crucial for comfort, at least for me.

Mine was foam and I took it out since I have custom kick panels.

Exactly. My family and I do alot of traveling and it is essential for my comfort on a 8 hour drive...hell, even driving around town.

I'll give a teh Razo one a look, I know they have several here locally at SuperAutobacs.

Well you could buy one left raised Frankenstein boot and you wouldnt have to worry about it, no really aftermarket is a way to go or you could pull the carpet up and put a bigger piece of foam block underneath, just can only put enough in cause you cant stretch the factory carpet that much, but give it a try either way.Good luck B. If i come up with any more bright ideas ill let you know.
