Default DMV calls my Scion a Toyota..

Just got my permanent registration back from the DMV (CA) and they have down that my xB is a Toyota. It does not say Scion anywhere on the title.
Sure I know it really "is" a Toyota, but the same situation would upset a new Lexus owner even more.

Anybody else's registered that way?

So, my old HiLux was designated 'Toy' on the title and registration. I called it 'Toy Truck".

If my xB was so designated, I could call it my 'Toy Box'!!!

Here in Texas, the DMV lists mine as: Make - Toyota, Model - Scion. There is no differentiation for the 3 models. My insurance company list it as: Make - Toyota, Model - Scion xA.

I got pulled over last night cause a cop told me that he was concerned that my plates were stolen
because he ran them and they came back as a Toyota SUV.

Not quite sure if he just needed a reason to pull me over or he was serious though.

I prefer the Japanese approach of just calling everything a Toyota. I hate the American mentality, "I can't pay $50,000 for a Toyota!!", same thing on this end with Scion.I like that the bB is a Toyota.
