Default Dust caps

I haven't had any luck finding the dust caps for stock 15" wheels. I'm sending my wheels out to get powder coated this week and want to finish it off nice. Does anyone know the part# for NAPA or Schucks or AutoZone dust caps? Thanks in advance.

Check these out at your local NAPA store ($2.80 each): http://napaonline.com/masterpages/NO...+Wheel+Bearing

I got mine from NAPA, but mine are Balkamp P/N 730-2411.
(Not sure if the above listing is correct?)

They're a very tight press-fit, and work like a charm!
Here's a close-up:

I had decided to use powder coating because I was told it would be a long lasting, shiny finish. I was quoted $40 per wheel for powder coating. When I brought the wheels in this morning, they then told me because the wheels were painted and clear coated and not bare steel, it would ba an additional $40 per wheel.

I called several body shops and got quotes from $150-250 to paint and clear coat my set of wheels.

So, it looks like I'll be painting the wheels myself. Most of the steelies I've seen have been stock black, which is how my xB has spent half it's life, so I'm looking forward to seeing how these turn out in matching Polar White. Should be a nice contrast with the tires.

I will post pics as soon as they are done.

I plan on working on the wheels Monday. I picked up the caps at NAPA for less than 10 bucks, and high gloss Krylon paint, primer and supplies for another $25. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Again, thanks for the info and encouragement.

I used high temp silicone to glue my dust caps on. I tried to just pressure fit, but I lost one within a few days. They're also easily dented. These work OK, but it seems like we should use a smaller size to actually fit in the hub (like these are intended) instead of outside the wheel lip?

The solution I used to hold the caps on tighter was to use some aluminum tape. It comes in a roll. Cut a strip of it long enough to line the inside lip of the cap. I made my strips about 1/2 inch wide. It made it a much tighter fit and have not lost one yet. You could also use some trim adheasive for added measure. Can't wait to see the finished product Arnie. I may do mine in silver sometime.
Are you using paint that needs hardner added or spraycan enamel? If using spraycan stuff, look for either engine enamel, epoxy or paint meant for wheels to withstand the heat the wheels receive.

It was 60 degrees today so I primed and painted the wheels and dust caps. I'll wait till Monday to give a second coat and shoot the clear. They are looking good.

Doh! Lost another one last week. I'd used high temp silicone to glue on the replacement and one other that was loose. When I swapped on the snow tires this year, the two pressure fit caps were still on solid. Guess I hit a few too many pot holes.
