Default Exhaust tip off center.... simple solutions?

The exhaust tip on my xB is off center in the cutout on the bumper. It never really bothered me before but I installed the valor exhaust tip and now it is very noticable and almost hits the bumper to the drivers side. I searched but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Anyone else have this problem? Is there a simple solution?
Thanks

did you try a simple shove first?
did you yet loook underneath and understand the hanger?

It is OK to bend things. In fact, you must.

good luck, don't worry.

^^^What SciFly said^^^

Please keep a good eye on your tip. It can and will melt the plastic bumper should it start to rest against it. A good shove will go a long way.

Mine was origionally off-centered too... I ended up with a beefy stainless tip that was $18 at Autozone (i think) that has 3 bolts in a Y formation... you can tighten them differenty to change the angle of how the tip comes off the pipe. I was able to get it centered and flush with the rear lip as I wanted it.

Thanks for the advice. I was under the xB to install it and pulled, shoved, etc. but it didn't do anything. I guess I'll just have to resort to bending it slightly.

My stock system was also off. I took the muffler off and manually adjusted it over to the center then put it back on. It took less than an hour including the muffler R&R.

I did the same thing but when it wasn't good enough I took a hammer and pliers and bent the pipe some. I found that the pipe that comes out of the muffler was oval and when I made it rounder the tip ended up being closer to center.

Rather than bending the tube, you can loosen the bolt connecting it near the rear wheel, adjust the pipe, then retighten.

Never force your exhaust. If you do anything that leaves your exhaust system under undue tension, you will not only have more drone inside the car, but you can develop exhaust leaks.

Loosen your pipe connections to make the necessary adjustments.
