Factory head unit car eq settings
Surely this has been covered before, but if you hold in the SSP button, it will tell you what "car type" the EQ is preset for. I believe mine came thinking it was a tC, changed it to xB and it sounds better. I have the single disk player.

And it also always goes back to the tC setting if you disconnect the battery or pull the dome light fuse. Check it from time to time.
I think mine sound better on xA.

Yeah, it was a feature I did not realize until a month after buying. Mine was set to tC, I have an xB but changed it to xA. The xA eq sounds the best imo

Dude... thanks for this FYI!! I picked up the xB last Friday and was horrified by the sound of the stereo (I also have a 04 Murano with a Bose system). I walked out of work today after reading this post, pressed the SSP button, and found my settings were to a tc.
<insert shiver here>
Once I changed the settings... whew... I could hear something besides the subwoofer.

I like the xB settings better than xA settings unlike some. The xA sounds too tinny, the xA seems fuller, and yes, I have a sub.
