P.S. i dig those painted wheel covers
Its not that I dont take pride in it....Its gets dirty under there fast and between rain and LOTS of driving( You'll see when you get yours) You almost have to go under the hood daily to maintain some order. I finally had some time off and no rain to get on it. As bad as it looked I couldnt get a good cleaning because the cover was still "tacky" and I didnt want to kickup a bunch of crud that would settle onto the cover.

Thanks for the response and I wasnt offended

Chief...superb job with the stock box! You have inspired me to want some painted caps (at least until the ones I ordered get off the boat!)

So, where did you find that VHTF flameproof clearcoat, was it expensive? What brand was it?

Thanks in advance and kudos on the ride!

Hey Chief, just to compare notes, what did you use to clean under the hood? Me, i use Simple Green straight, and a soft blue brustle brush that i got from PepBoys years ago. I use the same method on my wheels, brush and all. Cleans up in a snap! Matter of fact, i have to remove all the road salt and sand from under NEONS my hood tomorrow morn, i just cant take it anymore.

You still might need the simple green because you deal with alot of wet and road salts.
My xb really wasnt that dirty it just had alot of settled dust. I just wiped it down with a wax pad (used to wax cars) and some mothers back to black.
