You need to relax. Nobody is advocating drinking and driving here.

I was simply making the point that if you intentionally do something that is illegal in your state (like leaving off the front license plate because you think it looks "cooler" that way) you run the risk of getting stopped by law enforcement.

Your flamed reply toward me was completely unnecessary. Have a nice day.

Up to you, but it is illegal to not have a front plate in Texas. It is a good way to give a cop a reason to stop you. Picking up my xB tonight and would not consider driving it without the front plate.

I think it looks good without the front plate on the car....but I think it looks horrible when people put it on the front dash to stay legal.....

And most people stick it right over the airbag too, so they can have a nice sharp projectile in case of an accident...

I got stopped for not having a plate on the front of my cavalier. Stupid me didn't have my recent insurance card with me at the time. Got out of the ticket by going to the court office and providing proof of insrance.

As for the box... still live in Mo, still require a plate... STILL not drilling a hole in the bumper to put it on. Told the dealer I wouldn't take delivery if they drilled the bumper.

Enter eight08customs. No holes drilled.

one of the guys at the dealership told the salesman if law requires it (Missouri does), that they MUST drill for a front plate. I was able to slide mine through hole free.

it looks better without it, but just don't move to hawaii. it's required and then we have these recon (reconstruction) laws. any changes (just the basic cause it does get technical and detailed about what can and can't be done) such as altering your suspension, putting rims 1.5" bigger than that of the stock ones you need to get a recon sticker, which isn't really regulated so if me and you did the same mods to our car you may pass and i may not. also you can't change headlights or taillights they must be stock/from manufacturer.... and the list goes on. so giving the cops an opportunity to pull you over for your license plate and then they look to see if you have recon papers. and a cop can be a dick head and write a ticket for every mod that's not legal or not been approven by recon station or be nice and just write one ticket for "no" recon. well that's the situation here in hawaii. and after getting word from fellow friend officers, they are targeting cars with no front plates, since most "ricers" have no plates or recon...... and last month 3 friends already got a ticket for no front plates. 2 didn't have this recon thing and had to get it approved before appearing in court to get it dropped. my other friend was lucky only got a ticket for the front plates. sorry so long....

I've never had a front license plate on my RSX type S. Only got one ticket for it and it was only like $25. I have had the car 3 and a half years.
