has any one have a funny soft crackling sound coming out the center of the dashy? more likely out of the windshield vent? It comes on my RS1 sometimes and it gets anoyingm, I am really sensitive to sounds other than a soft engine hum. Also, I had my xa for about 2 months now and thbelt area is starting to sound like an old car with a constant oscillating chuga chuga, is that normal??

I got my RS 1.0 about a month ago. Started hearing that annoying rattle/buzz within the first week. Heard it from about 40-60 mph. Have had back to the dealer twice to try and fix. Technical says that it is definitely the vent grille as you described. Dealer ordered a new part, but said part is on "worldwide" backorder (has to come from Japan). Whatever they did in the interim has lessened the noise considerably. I hear it only around 55mph and only very faintly. Will repost when part arrives and is installed.

 

I get a wierd sound with the door armrests, but it seems like it was just cheeply made. I have a regular scion though.
