Default This guy threw his cell phone @ my XB!!!!

Out of all the people in the world...."lucky" me.

Ok well here's the story...

A friend of mine got into an argument with this guy that used to like me (mind you, I don't speak to him anymore cause he's an @$$.) So me being the peace maker I am, I told my friends to get back into the car so we could leave from the boys house. So the boy's parents come outside and the boy starts "acting big"-he starts to get loud and say that my friend is disrespecting him in front of his parents. So of course my friends are yelling and arguing with the boy and finally, after like 15 minutes, I get all my friends back into the car. So I make a U-turn to leave off the street and I hear a loud THUD coming from my left rear door. I turn to see that the boy threw his father's cell phone at my car. Now, I'm a very sweet and respectful person but I just got my Xb less than 24 hrs from when he did that so of course, I went off. (I have a short temper -: eyebrow So, I stopped the car into the middle of the street, threw off my glasses and went after him. This is totally UN lady-like in my eyes (plus I don't fight at all) but when you work HARD and LONG for something and you finally get it, of course you’re proud of yourself and you cherish it. So I jumped unto his back and started punching him in the face and then my friends jumped in. After about 7 minutes of a blur in my eyes, I ran over to his mother and demanded that my dent gets paid for in full. She accepted and now I got to go to the body shop tomorrow with her because my quote at Toyota was "way too expensive" in her eyes. As long as the job gets done right, and my car doesn’t end up being 3 different shades of red, then I’m not complaining. Other than that, I'll keep you guys posted!

I hope you're right about the non-Toyota body shop making your 24-hour-old car like new again! If in your shoes, I would prefer to take it to my dealership, but I can't speak for you and your relationship with this lady. Best of luck !

lots of dealerships in these parts only do mechanical work, and will send you to a bodyshop that they like, or take your car and send it to a body shop they like and charge you a middleman like fee.

I'm glad you kicked his ___, he deserved it for acting like a fool in front of his mom. she probably thought she was next when you went over to her.
you thug, you.

I'll chime in on this one...

Since there where multiple witnesses, I would go to a shop of my choosing. Maybe one that is on the HIGHER side just to ____ on her for being a cheap ___.

Then if she decides it is still too high, tell her you are going to your insurance company and going to file a claim. Your insurance company will work with you and make them pay!

Side note, I have worked my butt off since I was 17. Dropped out of high school and worked. My first vacation was my second marriage honeymoon at 32. I have never owned a new car. My wife got a new car before me.

Years later I own my own business and still work my butt off, but it is for me. Once I got this cheap car, you better believe I treat it like gold. Yes, it is a cheap car, but it is my first NEW car.

Was I babbling? Anyways, what I was getting at is I understand how you feel. Should have dragged him out of his car and had a soccer game on his nuts!

What kind of chump throws his dad's phone?

I like how you handed out a beatdown in front of his mom, then demanded your due. If I was straight, I would totally dig you.

You were wrong to attack him. He prolly had it coming though. I'd tell the mother to pay whatever it costs whereever you want to take it or go ahead and file charges against him for malicious destruction of property. Do Not try to put it on your insurance. You will be paying higher premiums for awhile to come plus your deductable will prolly be around the cost of the repair.
Also try to have it repaired by a paintless dent repairman, that way you won't have to worry about the paint not matching.
If it were me and the car was That new, I'd be telling them they are going to pay the difference for me to get another new car. You shouldn't have to live with a repair this early on in your ownership. I think it stinks to high heaven when other people show such little respect for other people stuff. Good Luck and I'll say a little prayer for you!

What size dent are talking about here? Man. Must have smashed the phone to bits.

And his parents just let him do that? What in the hell is wrong with parents today? If that had happened to me, back in the day, the parents would have laid the smack down on the kid for me.

Of course, to toss a phone at a car back then, meant going in the house, yanking the phone off the wall, then tossing it at the car.

Would have left a bigger dent, I'm sure.

Let us know what happens.
