Some people dont learn unless it costs them money.
1. EF it, exchange your box at same dealer. Have mom pay the difference
2. Mom's no body shop costing expert. Go with Dealer
3. If you go through your insur, your insur may go up.
4. If still to high and they dont want to pay, take them to small claim's court.

You will be paying higher premiums for awhile to come plus your deductable will prolly be around the cost of the repair.
Also try to have it repaired by a paintless dent repairman, that way you won't have to worry about the paint not matching.
If it were me and the car was That new, I'd be telling them they are going to pay the difference for me to get another new car. You shouldn't have to live with a repair this early on in your ownership. I think it stinks to high heaven when other people show such little respect for other people stuff. Good Luck and I'll say a little prayer for you!

Maybe I was wrong to hit him...NOT! I'm like the freakin GANDI of Norwalk CT! I haven't been in a fist fight in years and I'm trying to keep it like that! Hmm...malicious destruction of property....sounds good to me!! I'm not sure about the paintless dent repair though, because it left sliver scratches as well so, no can do there.

That guy must have been a hella wuss.

(Especially the 'throwing the cell' part.) Heh.

Get the dealer to fix it. Screw the mom. She's in the wrong and she's paying.

You better be careful. Same thing happened to a friend of mine over his girlfriend. Guy started talking smack and threw a tire iron threw his front windsheild so a bunch of my friends beat him up. The fall back was since they did this at the guys house the guy was actually able to press charges against my friend. Judge said since he went to his house it was a pre-meditated thing, even though it was not. Long story short my budy got assault charges pressed and still did not get a new window.

Well I just got back from the body shop where the boy's father took me to. Some body shop I never even heard of....NOT TOYOTA thats for sure. The guy looked at it and said that since its a new car and the color is not any regular color that it is still going to cost a few hundred. So now I have to make and appt with the guy during next week so the father can pay for it (if I would of went with his mother though, I would of argued till the cows came home) but his father is like 500 yrs old and hes a very sweet man, so I bared with him. So I'm going to get it done tuesday afternoon (drop Buntie off (my xb) during my lunch break) and hope for the best. Now, if my car has some cheap ___ touch-up paint on it and it's very noticeable, I'm taking this crap up with the body shop people. Shoot, no one is not going to try and play me out because I'm an 18 African American female, I don't play that ......

I'll keep you guys posted on the out come....

Until then....

I still say, even if they are paying it is always your choice where to get it fixed. If you don't feel 100% sure they can do it right why let them do it? Hope it works out for you? Good luck!

I understand what your saying like 500% but its like they WON'T pay for it if it costs Toyota that much to do it...I want it done through the toyota body shop so then I won't have to worry about my car looking a damn mess in the end. But I'm just going to have faith in this person to not steer me wrong and make my whole xB experience a total mess.

Pray 4 me peoples...

The paint code for the car is on the driver side door jamb, instruct the body shop to go to toyota and get the right paint.
