Hatch lighting using LEDS?
I was thinking of using the hyperwhite LEDS that I used in the cupholders (the type with the little holder) and mounting them up in the plastic trim under the headliner where it angles down. Put one on either side shining down towards the middle. Tie into the domelight wires and call it a day.
Anybody done this?

I used a 3-clustered blue LED's resembling the Napolex Laylight for my headliners. I used 4 on each side so it's bright enough. For the hatch, I used a 2 12" CCFL and it lights up when I open the hatch.

Is the cathode bright enough?

I cut a piece of Plexiglas to fit the hatch opening and mounted some LED light bars behind that. This is a pic from version one of this still uncompleted work. I've got CCFLs in the now cuz i tried to stealth it a little more and frosted/smoked the plexi a little and then I have camo netting over that. I've also got spiral PC fan CCFL's mounted behind the speaker grills. That's the other light you see in this pic.
