Default Headlight installation help

Ok when it comes to anything involving cars I know absolutely nothing. So sorry for this newb question. I just purchased a new set of headlights off of ebay and they are a no brainer to install except for the loose red and black wires on the back. I know the red wire is for the power and the black wire is for the ground but i'm not sure how or what to connect the red wire to.

Here is a link to the headlights off of ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-06...QQcmdZViewItem

Here is an actual shot of the headlights (notice the classic genesis game)

Here is a pic of the back of the headlight:

A closeup shot of the wires:

And here is a closeup (poorly) of the power plug to the headlights:

I'm not sure what the red wire is for, whether it's for the halo or the led lights.
Now I'm thinking that the red wire will need to be connected to one of those three wires connecting to the power plug depending on what I want the lights to do. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

You should get out your DMM (Digital Multi Meter) to be sure which one to connect to if you want to go that route. The red wire is only for the halo and brow.. so you can attach the lead to any switched source. You can run a switch from the dash to a relay which turns on the halos if you want.

I would recommend hooking up the lead to a relayed accessory source so the halo and brow come on with the keys switched to on or acc. That way the brow could be on even if the parking lights are not.

I would think the halos should be wired to the parking lights but thats me. Hope those projectors work for ya. Others complain that the light pattern is poor compaired to the stockers. It's a trade-off for the "look"

the red and black wire is for the led lights, the halo is led also. I would wire them to the parking lights.

I may know even less about the install then you, but before you do it I suggest resealing them. I’ve seen some posts here about projector headlights like these fogging up or even filling with water when it rains. Here is the original thread:

You may want to check it out.

Good luck!
