Default Headlight issues

Hello new to this forum.
Here is my issue. I have a 1994 scion Xb with some issues. First off is the headlights. While running a good HID kit on the car the passwnger side will not turn on. While running basic halogens the passenger side is dim. I have already done the switching bulbs, checking the fuzes, and even pulling out the multimeter to check the ground. All were good. The car had the HIDs installed when I bought the car and they worked fine, then one day it was not fine. Help with this siiue would be appreciated.
Another issue I am having is I am randomly getting a P0304 CEL. I have replaced the spark plugs and coils but it just keeps randomly comming on. I have gone through the wiring to the coil and everything looked fine. I have not xhecked compression yet as my tool broke last week and I have not been able to get a new one. Help with this one is appreciated as well.
This is my wifes car and it needs work other than this, but these are the ones I am having problems with.

Sounds like you've got a melting wire somewhere. HID's are notorious for melting the factory harnesses. Most folks install them without a relay harness and the factory wires just can't take the load.

Do a Compression check so we know where she stands.
