Default Headlight on xB

Does anyone have a problem with people shining thier brights at you while driving at night? Are xB headlights brighter then normal or do mine need adjusted?? I had the car for 6 months.

Well there is no adjustment for the headlights from my understanding because trust me i tried before. I have a set of 10k HID lights on my car & i get people high beaming me all the time, . With my first kit i couldnt high beam people so i just took it. Now i have high beams again & cant wait to start high beaming people that high beam because they get blinded by my HID's. Anyways some people think that when you have hyper lights that you're high beaming them or if you're car bounces or something like that. Hope that sheds some like on things for you.

Yes its possible to adjust the beam... There is a toothed bolt thingy on the back of the headlamp housing that you turn to move your beam up or down.

Default Headlight Adjustment

I have highbeaming problems....but i put Projectors in mine...and no matter how many times i try to aim the darn things, they bounce with the road and blind everyone.. it's great really.

And YES the headlights are adjustable. Both horizontally as well as vertically.

I have the high-beaming issue. People coming toward me occasionally give the highs, but I think more people are annoyed about me driving behind them. Every bump in the road and the stiff stock suspension result in what appears to be me flashing my lights. Someone just pulled over tonight for me.

See i havent had that happen to me, but i usually get people that high beam me after i make a turn so its too late for me to high beam them which really sucks. At least high beam before i turn so i can high beam back thats what i say.

there's some sort of sadistic satisfaction when someone beams you and you have yours on low. If they beam me too early I try to time it to get optimal effect when I zap them back.

It's the little victories in life that make it so much fun!

I could not figure out why everyone was flashing their lights at me. I am glad to finally figure out why. I kept thinking it was something I was doing.

The irony that you call the stock ride bouncy, then recommend lowering

My car is lowered 2" on eibach sportline springs, i get still high beamed when my car doesnt bounc. But here is the kicker, i get high beamed most of the time, i say 85% when im making turns. So can you explain that too me & ohh yea just to note my headlights are leveled.

I have to disagree. I'm lowered on DF210s and can't drive down the backroads without getting high beamed. I have stock bulbs and they are straight and level.

I think we get high beamed so much because the headlights are mounted fairly high on the body compared to all other compact cars/whatever class of cars you want to put the box in...station wagons perhaps? lol

yes. the stock suspension has high spring rates.

most lowering springs are of a lower spring rate. aka softer.

Lucky Cali people. Around here there's no chance of driving a lowered car without beating your kit to death. They've gotten on this new kick where every speedbump/entrance has to have these huge bumps/dips. . . . Stupid Alabama.

I have this problem too, and I discovered the little **** to adjust the headlights. I have the nagging feeling that the right headlight somehow splashes an extra "triangle" of light up to the right to illuminate street signs or something. Do the dealers have guys that can get the lights aligned properly?
